This is a great app for medical students and medical professionals alike. Youll learn and be exposed to medical mysteries, its so cool!!

I signed up a year ago when I was a pre-med student and recently became accepted to go to medical school. There is no way for me to change my status currently so Im hoping there will be a function soon without having to re-create a new account. I have things saved and favorited which would be lost if I had to abandon my current account. Please address this issue!!

The app is ok- some great content but a fair amount of mediocre images/comments. Three major issues: -the user cant change their specialty on their own (requires an email etc) -the user cannot delete their account on their own (feel like this should be illegal) -the answers to the caseoftheweek arent available until a day after so I never see the answers to cases (maddening) -incessant emails to "verify my account" Seemingly little things but really pretty frustrating and make the developer seem less trustworthy

This app is great if you want to gawk at medical stuff, not so great if you’re actually looking to learn. I look at Figure 1 because I want to learn. I want to see more things than I cant see on a daily basis in a clinical setting. I was under the impression that DX, labs and other pertinent info would be posted along with the photos. But really, most of the posts are just guessing games ("Help me figure out what this is!"). If I wanted that, I could go to any medical specialty forum online. I could even go to reddit for this. And its not helpful to me if everyone with an opinion can leave a comment, then having to scroll down the comments to find where the original poster decides to reply with the correct answer -- if they even reply. I follow medical case study instagram accounts because they tell me what Im seeing and the treatment and other pertinent information. You don’t get any of that with most posts on here. I think Figure 1 can be a powerful educational tool if its own mediocre posts and obnoxious comments dont kill it first.

Im a nursing student, and I just finished my first semester of clinicals. When I get bored, I sometimes go look at new posts and actually learn a lot with just playing around with the app for 10 minutes. It helps especially with terminology (a wholeee lot), radiography, and various tests you would run for specific signs and symptoms. You get to see a lot of what most nursing students dont see during clinicals along with the comments about what other nurses and physicians recommend or would test. Its pretty entertaining, and Id love to be able to diagnose one of the rare cases Ive seen on the app

Truly enjoy checking this app out on a daily basis to help reinforce high yield clinical perls. Also, it will help you learn about obscure, rare cases that you would probably never see in real life. Highly recommended to anyone who is clinically curious!

My favourite medical app. High-quality images of interesting cases (some common, others rare) from a breadth of specialties. Frequent content updates, so great to browse on a daily basis during study breaks or when there’s down time on the wards. Engaging app that provides a platform for discussion with other healthcare professionals about differential diagnosis & management options. Well-organized user interface. An innovative use of social media in medicine!

Having a connection into clinically relevant images at your fingertips in such a user friendly app is phenomenal! F1 is essentially "Instagram for medical geeks". I love it :)

This app is excellent for those who are in or are getting into the medical field! It allows you to speak with others who have a great deal of knowledge in their respective fields, and also gives you the opportunity to make educated guesses on diagnoses! Excellent app highly recommend!
